The Harvard Real Estate Services offers individual real estate counseling for benefits eligible faculty and staff and relocation assistance to faculty.
We recommend if you are relocating to this area in September that you begin your search for housing in July. Given the number of Universities and Colleges in the greater Boston area, apartments are at a premium.
Locations
The following areas are convenient to Harvard Medical School with easy access to public transportation:
- Boston Area: Back Bay, Brighton, Fenway, Jamaica Plain, Mission Hill, North End, and South End.
- Brookline Area: Brookline Village, Cleveland Circle, Coolidge Corner, and Chestnut Hill.
- Across the Charles River: Cambridge, Arlington, Belmont, Somerville and Watertown.
- West of the City: Newton Centre, Newton Highlands, Newtonville, Waban, West Newton, Needham, Natick and Framingham.
- South of the City: Braintree and Quincy.

VISITING FELLOWS
Vanderbilt Hall is a residence hall for Harvard Medical School, the School of Dental Medicine and the Division of Medical Sciences.
